Sain G M Syed’s death anniversary
12th death anniversary of the legend Sain G M Syed was observed at Sann (Dadu) on Wednesday. The Independent Sindhu Desh was his dream.. I wish we all worked together to realize his dream.
I’ve always envisioned the ‘freedom’… How will it feel when we’ll call Sindhu Desh our ‘country’? How will it be like when we’ll have a total control over our cities of Sindh? How will it be like when we won’t have to give the federation money earned from our own resources? How will it be like when Sindhis will be free to seek admission in any of the educational institute of Sindh? How will it feel when we’ll celebrate Sain G M Syed’s birth calling him the founder of Sindhu Desh? How will it feel when Kaachho will be green and the people living in the barren area of Kachho will have plenty of water?? How will it feel when Gorakh Hill Station will be made a tourist resort and attract the foreigners to the ‘free’ Sindhu Desh?

Many are the dreams conceived in my chest.. Many wishes to be fulfilled.. Hundreds of hopes to fly!! May all my dreams come true.. May Sindh be an independent ‘desh‘! (aamin!)
Translation (literal): Taking life after life, o dear! we’ll return to meet in Mehran (Sindh); Darkness will disappear, (and) we’ll meet in brightness (when there’ll be peace and prosperity)!
Saeen G M Syed, a visionary leader who pioneered the Sindhi freedom movement, remains a beacon of the Sindhi people's struggle for national self-determination. He was repeatedly detained and imprisoned by Pakistani authorities, spending more than thirty years without trial or ever being charged. He died in custody in 1995. The Amnesty International adopted him as a Prisoner of Conscience. Mr. Syed wrote extensively on Sindhi identity, history, and political conditions in Sindh. His views continue to inspire Sindhi writers, poets, political and civic leaders, and social and religious activists. He is widely respected for his forthrightness, courage, simplicity, and insightfulness.Jeay sindhudesh
